Book contains papers delivered during the international academic conference „Miasta buntu w imperium sowieckim” (Cities of Revolt in Soviet Empire) held in Radom in June 2016, and records of the conference discussions. The papers concern various aspects of June 1976 events: i.a. trials of the protesters, social silhouette of the protesters, course of events and results of the protest, personality of Fr. Roman Kotlarz. The papers concerning mass protests in Gdańsk (in 1970 and 1980), Lubin and Wrocław (in 1982), Berlin (1953), Tbilisi (1956) and Budapest (1956) set the wide Polish and international background of the phenomenon of the mass protests in Soviet Bloc.
