The event was officially opened by the IPN President Karol Nawrocki, Ph.D., and both IPN Deputy Presidents, Prof. Karol Polejowski and Mateusz Szpytma, Ph.D., in the presence of state representatives and local authorities. „History speaks through generations”  is the motto of the Subcarpathian Congress of National Remembrance held in Jasionka near Rzeszów. The event oganized by the IPN Branch in Rzeszów is held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

Neither without memory nor without a nation will it be possible to create a sovereign and independent state, said the IPN President Karol Nawrocki, Ph.D., during his speech at the opening of the Subcarpathian Congress of National Remembrance.
