Celebrations of the 82nd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II – Malbork – Szymankowo – Tczew, 1 September 2021

The ceremony was attended by a delegation of the Institute of National Remembrance headed by Karol Polejowski, Ph.D., D.Sc., the IPN’s Deputy President.

Representatives of the Institute of National Remembrance –  Karol Polejowski, Ph.D., D.Sc., Deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance, together with Karolina Masłowska and Natalia Zych-Janukowicz from the IPN’s Office for Commemorating the Struggle and Martyrdom, Gdańsk branch, participated in the celebrations of the 82nd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II held in Malbork, Szymankowo and Tczew.

The delegation of the Institute of National Remembrance laid flowers in front of the Monument to Polish Customs Officers in Malbork, at the plaque on the platform of the Szymankowo railway station, in front of the monument dedicated to railway men and customs officers murdered in September 1939, and in front of the obelisk to Szymankowo Heroes in Tczew.
