On 6 November 2015 at the Polish School of St. Maximilian Kolbe (5841 W. Strong St., Chicago, IL 60630), at 5 p.m., and on 7 November 2015 in the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center (220 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago), at 5 p.m., Ewa Leniart - Director of the Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance in Rzeszow will open the exhibition „Symbols of Our History.”

The exhibition was prepared by the staff of the branch of the Institute of National Remembrance in Rzeszów and is a kind of journey through more and less familiar symbols. A special place was devoted to the symbolism of statehood – the emblem, flag, colours, anthem and signs associated with them. At the exhibition present were also signs that have become symbols of their times - emblems, logos, badges, and even items.

The exhibition will be accompanied by educational workshops for students of schools run by the Polish diaspora, which will be conducted by Maciej Rędziniak, co-author of the exhibition. They will be held in several groups, from 9.30- 5.00 – on 6 November in the Polish School of St. Maximilian Kolbe (5841 W. Strong St., Chicago, IL 60630), and on 7 November in the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center (220 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago).
