On 16 December 2013 the Institute of National Remembrance hosted a delegation of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. The Commission was established in 2001 as an institution designed to protect human rights in Korea. Its main role is to secure fundamental rights such as dignity, value and freedom.
The Korean guests met with Dr. Krzysztof Persak, Director of the President's Office and Dariusz Pawłoś, President of the Foundation for Polish-German Reconciliation. The meeting focused on repression and human rights violations in Poland during the Nazi occupation and the redress associated with that period.
This was another meeting organized at the initiative of the Embassy of South Korea in Warsaw. Earlier IPN has hosted representatives of the South Korean Ministry of Unification and the Institute for National Security Strategy.
