Representatives of the Ministry of Unification of Korea in IPN

Since the 1960s in South Korea there functions a special Ministry of Unification, which prepares the future merger between the two Korean states. On 2 October 2013 the heads of the Scientific Section of the Ministry visited the Institute of National Remebrence.

This was another visit of Korean officials organized at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of South Korea in Warsaw. This time the guests had a chance to get acquainted with the organization and functioning of the IPN archives. They also talked to prof. Antoni Dudek, member of the IPN Council, about the experience of Polish transition from communism to democracy. The delegation was also very interested in Polish vetting procedures. They discussed these issues with directors of the IPN Vetting Office - Edyta Karolak i Radosław Peterman.
