The ceremony was attended by historians, government officials, foreign diplomats and veterans

On Monday, 19 November 2012, at exactly 127th anniversary of birth, the promotion of the album „Generał Kazimierz Sosnkowski 1895–1969” issued by IPN, took place at the IPN Educational Center in Warsaw At the invitation of the President of IPN the ceremony was attended by historians, government officials, foreign diplomats and veterans. Present were Stephen M. Mull, Ambassador of the United States, Robin Burnett, Ambassador of Great Britain, Pierre Buhler, Ambassador of France and Gregory Keith Houlahan, Chargé d’affaires of the Canadian Embassy. The guests of honor was the youngest son of the General – Piotr.

Kazimierz Sosnkowski was a close associate of Józef Piłsudski, with whom in 1908 he created the Union of Armed Struggle. In September he commanded at the southern front, in 1939-1940 he was the Commander in Chief of the Union, in 1943-1944 – the Commander in Chief. After the war Sonskowski lived in Canada, where he died in 1969.
