IPN President Łukasz Kamiński and Vice President Agnieszka Rudzińska participated in the opening ceremony of the Polish Military Cemetery in Bykovnia – 21 September 2012

Polish War Cemetery in Bykovnia is the fourth Katyń cemetery, after the cemeteries in Katyń Forest, Mednoye and Kharkiv-Piatichatki, which were opened in 2000.

It was opened and consecrated on 21 September 2012, in the presence of the Presidents of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski and Ukraine - Viktor Yanukovych. The drumhead service was conducted by the Polish Primate, Archbishop Józef Kowalczyk and the homily was delivered by the Polish Army Field Bishop Józef Guzdek.

Celebrations in Bykovnia were organized by the Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Sites.
