President Agnieszka Rudzińska meets with representatives of the Albanian Institute for the Studies of Communist Crimes - Warsaw, 17 August 2012

The visit of Agron Tufa, Executive Director of the Albanian Institute for the Studies of Communist Crimes, was the first foreign visit of this institution involved in coming to terms with the Communist past.

Mr. Tufa presented the current situation and the scope of work of the Albanian Institute. It was established by the Albanian Parliament under the Act of 25 February 2010.

The visit at the IPN was to establish cooperation and draw experience from IPN’s work in the educational, vetting and archival fields associated with commemorating victims and coming to terms with the Communist past.

During the meeting the scope of the future cooperation was set up.
