On 9-10 May 2012, President of the Institute of National Remembrance Dr. Lukasz Kaminski visited Podgorica at the invitation of the Historical Institute of Montenegro. The purpose of the visit was to sign the agreement on scientific cooperation between the institutions. During the working meeting it has been decided that the first joint project will concern the relations between Polish People’s Republic and Yugoslavia in the years 1945-1955.

Dr. Kaminski also took part in the ceremonial opening of the IPN's exhibition "Phenomenon of Solidarity", during which he delivered a lecture on the modern history of Poland and the work of IPN. The ceremony, held with the participation of Grazyna Sikorska, Polish Ambassador in Podgorica, took place at the University of Montenegro.

The exhibition will be presented in Podgorica from 10 to 15 May.

During the visit Dr. Kaminski met with representatives of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro and Prof. Nataša Djurović, Vice-rector of the University of Montenegro.
