President of IPN meets with representatives of the The Central Office of the Judicial Authorities for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes (German Zentrale Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen nationalsozialistischer Verbrechen zur Aufklärung).

On May 8, a meeting with a delegation of Zentrale Stelle representatives took place, chaired by Attorney Thomas Will, Deputy Director of the Office. From the Institute of National Remembrance the meeting was attended by Dr. Lukasz Kaminski, President of the IPN, Agnieszka Rudzińska, Vice President of IPN, and the directors of investigative, educational, archival and vetting departments were present as well.
 

The German institution was established in Ludwigsburg in 1958 to investigate Nazi crimes. Throughout its history the panel led to the conviction of several thousands of perpetrators of Nazi crimes.
 

The purpose of the meeting was to intensify cooperation in transferring of the Hitler files to the individual Commissions for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish investigating Nazi war crimes. In addition, a discussion on cooperation in the fields of education and archives was also undertaken.
On May 9, a meeting is planned for the German delegation with the prosecutors from the departmental and branch Commissions for the Prosecution of Crimes Against the Polish Nation.
