On 17-18 April 2012 IPN was visited by Dr. Dorin Dobrincu, director of the National Archives of Romania and Gabriela Preotesi, an employee of the National Archives of Romania. The visit was connected to yet another meeting of the Polish-Romanian working group devoted to finalizing work on the joint bilingual source publication “Polish Exiles in Romania 1939 – 1940. Documents from the resources of the National Archives of Romania“. During the meeting with the representatives of the IPN Archives the state of work on the publication was discussed as well as future joint projects.

On the following day the Romanian delegation visited the Archives of the Institute and got acquainted with the archival resources and the process of digitizing archival materials. The representatives of National Archives of Romania visited archival repositories, the reading room and the reprography room. The delegation also met with the Dr. Łukasz Kamiński, the President of IPN and the representatives of The Head Office of State Archives in Poland.
