The Committee on Disclosure of Documents and Announcing Affiliation of Bulgarian Citizens to the State Security and Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian National Army organised the subsequent meeting of representatives of the European Network of Official Authorities in Charge of the Secret-Police Files which took place in Sofia on 20-21 February.

The working part of the meeting aimed at discussing the common project of the travelling exhibition entitled “The Communist Secret Police and People’s Everyday Life”. The draft project was prepared beforehand by the Institute of National Remembrance and the Federal Commissioner for the Records of the State Security Service of the former German Democratic Republic. At the official part of the meeting – the public forum attended by the Bulgarian Minister of Home Affairs, Tsvetan Tsvetanov and the media - the Committee presented the report summarising the last five years of its activities.

In accordance with previuos decisions the chairing of the Network was transferred by Evtim Kostadinov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Committee to Dr. Ivan Petransky, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Nation’s Memory Institute. The Slovak Institute will be the Chair of Network until September 2012.
