On 23-24 January dr Łukasz Kamiński, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance was visiting Dublin, where he gave a lecture summarising the three presentations of the exhibition “Phenomenon of Solidarity. Pictures from the History of Poland, 1980–1981” in Ireland: in Waterford on 11 - 26 November, in Limerick on 29 November-23 December 2011 and in Dublin, where the exhibit is still open to the public (11-17 and 23-31 January 2012).

The meeting and the lecture of the President was held on 24 January 2012 at 7:00 pm in the European Union House (Dawson Street 18).

During the visit dr Kamiński also met with teachers of the Polish schools in Ireland, visited Glasnevin cemetery and museum, and the memorial Garden of Remembrance.

The visit was co-organised by the Polish Embassy in Dublin.
