23 April – World Book Day

The World Book and Copyright Day was established in 1995 by UNESCO to promote reading, editing and the protection of intellectual property rights. It is celebrated annually on 23 April. On this day in 1616, Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare and Peruvian historian Inca Garcilaso de la Vega died.

On the occasion of the World Book Day we would like to introduce you to the new offer of the IPN Publishing House. The Institute of National Remembrance has already produced over 2,800 publications in 16 foreign languages and is increasingly drawing on the latest technological possibilities by publishing books in electronic form.

We encourage you to watch a spot about the IPN Publishing House and learn about the broad historical subject matter of our foreign-language publications, thanks to which we can spread knowledge about Polish history and Polish heroes of the 20th century around the world.
