The IPN "Trails of Hope. The Odyssey of Freedom" exhibition unveiled in New York City – 29 October 2023

On 29 October 2023, the IPN "Trails of Hope. The Odyssey of Freedom" exhibition was unveiled in the Kaufman Music Center in New York City
The IPN expert of the Historical Research Office Przemysław Gasztold. Ph.D., presented the bilingual English-Hebrew panels and he outlined the historical background of the journey and combat trail of the Poles General Anders led out of the USSR in 1942. The double-language version was the same one that had been presented at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem earlier this year, and it had found its way to Israel for a reason: having arrived in Palestine, thousands of soldiers of Jewish descent left the ranks, and many joined several paramilitary organisations fighting to create a Jewish state. Among them was Menachem Begin, who would then go on to become Israeli Prime Minister.
The unveiling of the exhibition preceded the "Memory Brings Us Together" concert of music by world-famous Pole Frédéric Chopin, as well as forgotten Jewish composers from the dark times of Holocaust.
