“Strengthen Your Arm – Serve Your Fatherland”: The History of the Polish Falcons of America

The official opening will take place on September 29 at 12:00 at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk. The launch of the exhibition will be attended by IPN President Karol Nawrocki Ph.D., IPN Archive Director Marzena Kruk, and guest of honor, President Timothy L. Kuzma of the Polish Falcons of America.

The exhibition will be an expanded version of the original, “Strengthen Your Arm – Serve Your Fatherland”: The 135th Anniversary of the Polish Falcons of America, presented at the Kazimierz Pułaski Museum in Warka from September 2022 until the end of March this year.

The most valuable archival materials from the Polish Falcons of America collection, acquired for the Institute’s holdings under the auspices of the Archive Full of Remembrance project, will be presented at the exhibition.

Visitors will be able to see nearly 400 unique objects, including documents and a rich collection of photographs, uniforms, banners, and medals, as well as sports-related artifacts. The exhibition is complemented by interactive display panels and a multimedia projection.

The thematic display areas, symbolically represented as “nests” – the fundamental organizational unit of the Polish Falcons – have been expanded in the current version of the exhibition. New photographs and artifacts, primarily illustrating the history of the Falcons in America during World War II, have been added.

The exhibition has been prepared in cooperation with the Museum of the Second World War and the Polish Falcons of America. The Museum of Sports and Tourism in Warsaw is also a partner in its project. The exhibition was designed 7muz.pl studio.

The exhibition will be on display at the museum until January 7, 2024.
