On 28 March 2023, during the visit of the IPN delegation in Canada, the IPN President Karol Nawrocki, Ph.D. accompanied by Consul General Magdalena Pszczółkowska, laid flowers at the Katyń monument in Toronto, at the Siberian plaque and the Smolensk plaque.

On the next day the representatives of the Institute went to the Polish cemetery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where the IPN President paid tribute to the volunteers from General Haller's army, who died of influenza in 1918 at a local training camp.

Representatives of the IPN also travelled to Hamilton, where they laid flowers at the plaque commemorating the destroyer HMCS Haida and visited the vessel at the local wharf. HMCS Haida formerly serving in the Royal Canadian Navy participated in the World War II and the Korean War.

At the John Paul II Polish Cultural Center in Mississauga, in the presence of the Consul General Magdalena Pszczółkowska, the IPN President presented the "Cross of Freedom and Solidarity" awards to Polish anti-communist activists living in Canada.

At the nearby "Spiral of Victory" monument, the delegation paid tribute to Polish airmen serving alongside the RAF during World War II, and laid flowers at the monument to St. John Paul II.
