Mateusz Szpytma, Ph.D., the Deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance, took part in ceremonies related to the 140th birthday and 80th death anniversary of Bruno Stanisław Gruszka.

Bruno Stanisław Gruszka was an economic, political and social activist of the interwar period. He was a member of the Polish Parliament for many years greatly contributing to the development of many economic initiatives in the Lesser Poland region. He was an active organizer of the Great Peasant Strike in 1937. After the aggression of the Soviet Union against Poland, he was arrested by the NKVD. He died in prison in Przemyśl on 4 March 1941, and was buried in the parish cemetery in Radymno.

In 2021, the IPN’s Office for Commemorating the Struggle and Martyrdom carried out renovation works on the grave of Bruno Stanisław Gruszka, located at the municipal cemetery in Radymno.
