International edition of "Queue" (“Kolejka”) on sale again!

The sixth edition of the "Queue" game goes back on sale on the anniversary of the 4 June election  (Press release)

The "Queue" game by Karol Madaj met with great interest not only in the country but also abroad. The educational publication of the Institute of National Remembrance was in the media worldwide. Information about the "Queue" appeared in the tens of thousands of websites, as well as radio and television stations and newspapers. It appeared in global information services, including BBC, CNN, Fox News, and agencies such as the Associated Press and Agence France Presse. The reports emphasized the innovativeness of the idea of ​​education through playing a board game and excellent representation of the reality of life in the country behind the Iron Curtain.

Despite the passage of more than two years since the premiere the interest in the game continues unabated. The press and television still report about the game, and fans from around the world publish reviews online and translation of rules to more and more languages ​​(most recently to Dutch and Italian). IPN in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Bucharest is now working on an official Romanian version of the "Queue" game. Responding to the needs of players there has been developed an addition to the game - "Ogonek" ("Tail"), which enriches the game with themes about the martial law. Demand for the game is so large that the Institute has already delivered its six editions of the total circulation of 90 thousand copies. The game is bought mostly by Poles, but Americans, the Japanese and Germans are also eagerly interested in it. The game is also gaining increasing popularity in Russia. Therefore, the sixth edition of the "Queue" game will be re-issued internationally. The game box, next to the Polish cards, will also include sets to play in English, German, Russian, Japanese and, for the first time in French. The foreign customers will be guided through the specific history of the Polish People's Republic and its economy in the short introduction to instructions by Dr. Lukasz Kaminski, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance. The "Queue" game has exceptional educational value - the rules of the game allow you to learn and understand the realities of life of the past. The game is accompanied by a popular science article on the history of Polish People's Republic by Dr. Andrzej Zawistowski, the Director of the IPN's Public Education Office. The game will be available at the IPN's Educational Center at Marszałkowska 23/25, Warsaw. It will also be sold by Empik.
