On September 1, marking the anniversary of German invasion of Poland, the Institute of National Remembrance launches an educational portal at truthaboutcamps.eu on German death camps and concentration camps in occupied Poland. The portal is available in English and Polish. It was prepared by IPN historians specially for foreign readers, because both in international media and in official statements one can find the term „Polish death camps”. This is unacceptable. Such statements are untrue. The sole responsibility for the establishment of „death factories” lies with Nazi Germany.
