On 29-30 March 2012 in the hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Silesia in Katowice (ul. Bankowa 11, s.142) a Polish-Hungarian scientific conference is being held entitled "Dilemmas of Polish and Hungarian nationality policy in the 20th century". It has been organised by the City of Katowice, Institute of History, University of Silesia in Katowice and the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw.

The participants include historians of the Branch Public Education Office in Katowice who will present their papers during the conference.
