The IPN’s History Point in Daugavpils opened - 15 October

On 15 October 2019, the IPN’s President Dr Jarosław Szarek and Head of the IPN’s Białystok Office Dr hab. Piotr Kardela inaugurated the IPN’s History Point in Daugavpils (Latvia).

 

 

The opening ceremony took place at Józef Piłsudski’s Polish School. The event featured the exhibition ”Soviet Invasion of 17 September 1939. North-East of Poland” and the IPN’s educational packages entitled ”The Soviet Invasion of Poland and Occupation of the Polish Eastern Regions in 1939-41”.

During the meeting, the latest publication ”Anti-Communism of Poles in the 21st Century” released by the IPN’s Białystok Office was promoted. The book presents various aspects of the phenomenon. It is a collective work by the leading researchers in the field from academic centres and scientific societies in Poland.
