Presentation of the IPN’s exhibition “The Cold War. A Short History of a World Divided’ –– Kishinev (Moldova), 29 May 2019

On Wednesday, 29 May, in the National Library in Chisinau (Moldova) the English version of the exhibition "Cold War. A Short History of a World Divided ", prepared by the Warsaw Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance, will be presented.

The event is held at the invitation of the Polish Embassy in Chisinau and the Polish Institute in Bucharest. It will be one of the elements that fit into the Polish-Romanian historical dialogue in the context of the 30th anniversary of the Autumn of Nations, i.e. the process of dissolution of communist governments in Central and Eastern Europe in 1989.

The ceremony will be attended by the authors of the exhibition: Sławomir Stępień (Warsaw Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance) and Dr. Paweł Sasanka (Historical Research Office of the Institute of National Remembrance).

The presentation is possible thanks to the cooperation with the Polish Institute in Bucharest. In view of its very good reception in Romania, the Institute of National Remembrance will once again have the opportunity to present the exhibition about the Cold War. Earlier, it was presented at the Memorial of the Victims of Communism and the Resistance Movement in Sighetu Marmației, the National Museum of Transylvanian History in Cluj-Napoca and the National Museum of the History of Moldova - Palace of Culture (Muzeul de Istorie a Moldovei - Palatul Culturii Iasi) in Jassy.
