The statement of the Council of the Institute of National Remembrance of 19 February 2019

on the procedures of granting access to the archival resources of the IPN outside Poland

Based on Article 23 par. 2 points 4 and 7 of the Act of 18 December 1998 on the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 2032, 2529), the Council of the IPN thereby reaffirms:

In connection with the talks held between the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC, the users of the IPN’s archival resource outside of Poland, as in the case of domestic users, are bound by the legal regulations in force as of the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation.
