A plenary meeting of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance – IHRA - Ferrara (Italy), 26-29 November 2018

The plenary meeting of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) will take place on 26-29 November in Ferrara. The Alliance has been operating since 1998 (until 2013 as a working group for International Cooperation in the Field of Education, Memory and Holocaust Studies). Katarzyna Ratajczak-Sowa is taking part in the meeting on behalf of the Institute of National Remembrance.

The Declaration of the Stockholm International Forum on the Holocaust (or “Stockholm Declaration”) is the founding document of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Its aim is to mobilize and coordinate support from political and social leaders for education, maintaining memory and conducting research on the Holocaust at national as well as international levels. IHRA brings together 31 member states and 11 observer countries. Poland has been a member since 1999. Poland chaired the Alliance's work from March 2005 to 28 February 2006.
