In honor of the Cursed Soldiers, 1 March 2022

The Institute of National Remembrance pays tribute to the soldiers of the post-war underground movement for freedom in Poland.

On the Cursed Soldiers National Remembrance Day flowers were laid by the President of the IPN Karol Nawrocki Ph.D., at the execution wall of the former Mokotów Prison. During morning ceremonies, wreaths were also laid by the Deputy President of the IPN Karol Polejowski, Ph.D, and the Director of the Chief Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation Andrzej Pozorski.

On 1 March 1951, within the walls of Mokotow prison, the communists murdered seven activists of the 4th General Board of Freedom and Independence Association.
