Ondrej Krajňák visits Warsaw, 9 December 2015

On 9 December 2015 Dr. Ondrej Krajňák, Chairman of the Board of the Slovak Nation's Memory Institute (UPN) and Dr. Łukasz Kamiński, President of the Institute of National Remembrance laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.

IPN has cooperated with the UPN for many years. In 2006 the two institutions signed an agreement, which entails conducting academic cooperation and educational projects.

The main tasks of Slovak institution is to reappraise the period of the fascist and Communist regime, make documents relating to the persecution of individuals available to public and issue publications regarding them. Since 2008 IPN and UPN have cooperated within the European Network of Official Authorities in Charge of the Secret Police Files.
