Opening ceremony of the exhibition "Righteous Among the Nations. Support of Poles for the Jewish population in the Malopolska region during the Second World War, 1939-1945 "- Manchester, 30 November 2015

The opening of the exhibition „Righteous Among the Nations. Support of Poles for the Jewish population in the Malopolska region during the Second World War, 1939-1945 „ will be held on 30 November 2015 in Manchester (University of Manchester, The Whitworth Hall, Oxford Road) will take place. This event will start at 7 pm. And it is associated with a session for „Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow of Jewish-Polish Relations”, which on that day will be held at the University of Manchester.


The following persons will deliver their speeches during the opening: Doreen Gerson – Executive Director of Israel Information Centre, Dr. Łukasz Lutostański – General Consul of the Republic of Poland in Manchester, Lord Mayor of Manchester Paul Murphy, Witold Sobków – Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in London and the Representative of the Embassy of Israel. 

The exhibition is the second on this subject, created in the Department of Institute of National Remembrance in Rzeszów. Covering the entire Malopolska, it is the expansion of the exhibition devoted to the help of Poles given to the Jews in the Rzeszów region. Opening of the exhibition was held in celebration of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust on the Market Square in Cracow on 27 January 2008. Many distinguished guests from Poland and around the world attended this event.
