On November 8-th 2007 at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, Archival Cooperation Agreement was signed between Yad Vashem-The Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority and the Institute of National Remembrance. The agreement was signed by the president of Yad Vashem Avner Shalev and the president of IPN Janusz Kurtyka.
The agreement regulates archival cooperation between institutions in the area of mutual search queries and access to copies of documents that are of interest of both parties. For Yad Vashem the most interesting period is the World War II and the crimes committed on Jews. IPN will be interested in using collections concerning Jews of Polish nationality. The results of search queries will be accessible for both institutions on microfiches.
